Art of Digital Printmaking

4-HOUR HANDS-ON WORKSHOP

Course Requirements

This class is for those who already do their own digital printing and have a a solid working knowledge of Photoshop. Now, you don’t have to know everything, but when something new is taught you need to be comfortable enough to be able to instantly absorb the material. If many of the Photoshop techniques presented end up being mew to you, then you won’t be able to learn what is truly being taught. To follow are some Photoshop that you should already be using on a regular basis.

  • PHOTOSHOP REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
    • Curves (using Red, Green, and Blue Channels)
    • Hue/Saturation
    • Sharpening
    • Selections (Magic Wand, etc., Saving Selections)
    • Layers & Layer Masks
    • Adjustment Layers

In truth, Mike doesn’t employ a million differnt tools. In fact, he essentially uses just three of them for all sorts of purposes. These tools are Curves, Hue/Saturation, and Selective Color combined with masking and other tricks. But, still, you need to be comfortable enough with Photoshop so that you’re not distracted from the real purpose.

Because this is a hands-on course, BRING YOUR LAPTOP to class for use in the second part of class.
